Sinister Steampunk Hunt 3

Kitty took a short afternoon and ran through a rather unique Steampunk hunt with about 40 stops. Although most of the prizes consist of accessories and furnitures, Kitty tried her best on the few outfit available to show everyone here.

There are some interesting items including this Lava Lamp stand pose which makes Kitty dance like a Ballerina. Oh, and did you notice the flying ship "BlackPearl"? That is one of the prizes too!

There is also a 7 prims street lamp if you do not already have one for your house. There is the "BlackPearl" again!

Here is the outfit BlackLace, considering mainly.. BLACK. Well, its the perfect setting for dark places. Oh dear, what are those monks chanting... Kitty better get away soon...

Ever feel its too much being Snow White? Well, here is your chance! Presenting Kitty as the Evil Stepmother! Isn't the outfit gorgerous?

What is a steampunk hunt without an Alchemist? Kitty is the genius and mad alchemist who believe you can turn stone into... CATFOOD!

There is always the classic steampunk look just like this "Abduction Officer" uniform. I recall Kitty having another similar uniform from another hunt though.

Last, but not least, Kitty is Mad Mae and yes, the hammer is bloody. Usually Kitty doesn't look good in green, but this dark green outfit sure gives everyone the creeps, especially with the hammer in her hand... SMACK!

This is a FREE hunt, so what are you waiting for?

Sarah Parries's Jenner

It's seldom that I put up OOC posts, well not that often, but this is not just OOC, its OOG (Out of Game) but I see a need to.

SL is probably not the only game most people play (if you even call it a game), and likewise Mechwarrior Online (MWO) is one I happened to be on. However in the realms of MWO, something tragic happened in May. One of our youngest mechwarrior, Sarah Parries, a 5 years old girl passed away due to cancer. In memory of her, a special mech (the super size heavy metal battle machines) was created with greenish paint, a teddy bear logo as well as a pink unicorn.

While many of us had passed on each and every day, and some do have a decent virtual influence, none had been like this. This is sad even though Kitty has 9 lives. The mech created is sold for USD$10 and all purchased donated to Canada Cancer Society in memory of little Sarah. It had raise almost USD$100K by now and for once I said the money was well spend (not on the mech) but for a good cause.

I know this is basically a SL blog, but for once, I am breaking the rules and posting this. If you are not on Mechwarrior Online and/or doesn't want to start, there is way to donate directly too, but one other way is to ask around and see if your friends or relative do play and sponsor him or her on the mech if he / she had not purchased it. Then again, why not just join MWO for fun?

Buy the mech and support the fight against cancer:

Kimono Mania at Milky House

Kitty went Kimono shopping again (Why does she need so many Kimonos, nobody will ever know...) and she came upon a rather interesting street of stores selling Japanese goods from fans to katana and of course costume like Kimonos and even statues like Bishamon.

As Kitty could get more information at the moment, she can only assumed it to be part of the new expansion to Milky House or simply a special summer event here. In any case, she found 3 beautiful Kimono on the Lucky Chair at Irodori and she waited and waited until she got all 3 of them here.

The first one Kitty got was the Oiran style Kikka Black. Its named after a type of flower call Chrysanthemum. It is a show stealer anyday.

Irodori's outfit usually comes complete with the hair and headdress and here is Kitty in the nice crown like headdress for this outfit.

The next is a set named Misty, which is a perfect Kimono for dancing. It comes with a lacey blueish Kimono with orange belts.

Again, it also comes with a rather flashy head dress as well as a matching hair for this Kimono.

The last set Kitty got took her quite some time and it is the Pink version of Ichiya Tennyo, loosely translated to be Nightly Sky Fairy. It does looks very dream like and celestial, doesn't it?

Maybe it is because Kitty had camped very long for this, but she love this most among the 3.

There are lots of other freebies like shapes from DrLife as well as accessories too. All very oriental and detailed in texture. Kitty enjoyed her visit very much, although she did not see a lot of other people. Perhaps this is because this is a preview and not yet officially opened? I guess the only way to find out is to ask Sara about it.

Oh and did Kitty mentioned that there is fireworks at night too!

Visit this event which Kitty had named "Kimono Mania" :)

A Kabuki Show at Milky House

Kitty Had always love Kabuki and only a few night ago, she has an invitation to attend one at Milky House. Although Kitty had always wondered how it would feel to be on stage in beautiful Kimonos performing for everything, she just listen very quietly and enjoy herself on the evening. But she was so engrossed in the performance that she totally forgotten to take photo for the event!

Did you spot where Kitty is sitting? Its not the best seat, but it is one of the better one already consider how full it was when she arrived.

One of her favorite part was the solo about the spider princess.Maybe it was because both cat spirit and spider spirit are kind of non human.

It was a pity this was all that Kitty took, but it was really a great event and you should not miss the next one coming up!

Oceania Issue Exchange for Fortune Teller Shark

Previously, I mentioned about the Fortune Teller Shark prize from the "Cry of the Peacock" Hunt :
http://blog.elottebridger.com/2013/08/oceania-at-cry-of-peacock-hunt.htm

Technically, I won't call this a re-call, but certainly it has a little sound like it. Due to rules for the "Cry of the Peacock" Hunt, all prizes were made non-transferable, which in general not so for Oceania Breedables items. So what is happening now is that Oceania is providing a 1 to 1 exchange for the non-transferable prize to a transferable one. And whether you actually need to do so or not, I would still suggest you exchange it since it can be traded in the future.

Exchange your Fortune Teller Shark by showing it to the staff of Oceania at:

Oceania at the "Cry of the Peacock" Hunt

Oceania is at the "Cry of the Peacock" hunt and they are giving away a limited edition (well, almost all of Oceania's plushie are limited in a way) of the Fortune Telling Shark.

Kitty decided to show case this wonder shark as soon as she completed the hunt and here is it!

The Fortune Telling Shark is one of its kind in a nice mysterious purple and even comes with a really charming crystal ball which will hypnotize you if you gaze too look into it (Just joking). Don't let you fortune slips away, grab this by completing the "Cry of the Peacock" Hunt!

Cry of the Peacock Hunt

Once again, Madpea had rolled out yet another great hunt. I must say this one is one of the hardest yet because it is in fact 2 hunts merged into one.

OK, this is where I want to try to help out fellow hunters, but do not expect me to give direct clues. I just felt that the instructions may be a bit confusing and I feel nobody should miss this hunt because they could not understand how it works.

Before all that, make sure you buy the "Cry of the Peacock" HUD and not the old HUD!

First, there is some things you need to get to complete the hunt:
1. A file from the police station with the victims age and address
2. 15 posters of the missing victims with their age, job, hair color etc
3. The readme in the HUD listing down the 20 stores Madame Peacock love to visit.

OK, I did mentioned that there is 2 hunts right?
1. The readme in the HUD listed 20 stores, you will need to find the music scores in each of the 20 stores in order to complete the full music sheet on your HUD. This is one hunt on its own.
2. You will need to find the 15 posters, but there is a easy way out for this, which is to have a group of friends and spread out to get the posters. The posters is copy / transfer enabled, so share around to make sure you have all 15 of it. To speed things up, Kitty actually saved the pictures as JPG on her desktop. This is where it starts to get tough. What you need to do is to read the tarot descriptions on the HUD and match it to one of the victims based on the poster. You cannot change or skip until you solve the current tarot. Once you confirm that, you will need to visit the victim's address and knock on the door. Then you will get a hint to find 1 item related to the victim. In total you will need to recover these 15 items by progressing card by card, then you will need to perform the final steps...

OK, I kinda did not consider the last part a separate hunt, but finding the last item is going to take a long while if you do not have help, so I suggest you get a group of friends to sweep the area in the end. I hope Madpea is ok with this slightly "enhanced" instructions. It is afterall not hints or anything.

I will run another post on this hunt once if I have time to unpack the goodies.
