Google Reverses Ban On Explicit Blogger Content

Originally Blogger had schedule to block all sites with "explicit porn" on them and it is rather very subjective what that is. The original post from Google was as follows

Starting March 23, 2015, you won’t be able to publicly share images and video that are sexually explicit or show graphic nudity on Blogger.

Note: We’ll still allow nudity if the content offers a substantial public benefit, for example in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts.

Changes you’ll see to your existing blogs

If your existing blog doesn’t have any sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video on it, you won’t notice any changes.

If your existing blog does have sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video, your blog will be made private after March 23, 2015. No content will be deleted, but private content can only be seen by the owner or admins of the blog and the people who the owner has shared the blog with.

Settings you can update for existing blogs

If your blog was created before March 23, 2015, and contains content that violates our new policy, you have a few options for changing your blog before the new policy starts:

• Remove sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video from your blog
• Mark your blog as private

If you’d rather take your blog down altogether, you can export your blog as a .xml file or archive your blog’s text and images using Google Takeout.

Effect on new blogs

For any blogs created after March 23, 2015, we may remove the blog or take other action if it includes content that is sexually explicit or shows graphic nudity as explained in our content policy.

But the good new is that eventually, the ban was lifted and instead a "Warning" for adult content was to be enforced. Since Kitty had always been putting that on, she is not directly affected, but she does consider switching to WordPress if thing continue to go ugly.

Broken Links Everywhere

Kitty had start to notice that a lot of the posters of previous hunts, especially those dated in 2012 had broken links to the pictures all over and that was really sad. She would want to go back to fix them, but the hunt were over and it may not serve much purpose at all, planning ahead anyway.

She Kitty had decided that she will not link to any more of those hunt posters in the future. Instead, she would save them and post it as her own copy so that in the future, the pictures will remain intact. It is such a waste to let those great hunting memories become a broken link...

On the other hand, Kitty may be going less of hunts in the coming months due to her commitments to other events in both SL and RL, but she would do posts as muc has she could so that you will still eb seeing her in different outfits and places often. Well, actually one of the things on her mind is doing a SL travel programme, like introducing sims just like in Lonely Planet or something. It may or may not work out, but Kitty is at least commited to start on a few galleries and scenic locations. If you have a interesting sim and would love Kitty to visit it, do let her know. She may not blog about it 100%, but the least she would promise is that she would visit it and take a look.

Until then, there better not be anymore broken links from now. Yes, its an entirely different thing from the missing link. Kitty is kinda like the missing link between human and cats. :)

Once Broken, Considered Thrown

The Search widget provided by Blogspot never did work on the blog, no matter how hard I tried to make it so. In the end, I concluded that this is one of those bridge you won't ever consider crossing since it is broken. So out goes the windows for the widget!

I got hold of another widget and manage to post a simple red search box about for searching on this blog. Free feel to make use of it!
